Silas HouseSpeaker
Silas House is the New York Times bestselling author of six novels, including his most recent one, Southernmost, as well as a book of creative nonfiction and three plays. House is a member of the Fellowship of Southern Writers, a former commentator for NPR's "All Things Considered", and has been honored with the E.B. White Award, the Nautilus Prize, the Appalachian Book of the Year, the Intellectual Freedom Prize from the National Council of Teachers of English, and many others. His writing has recently appeared in Time, Garden and Gun, and The Oxford American, and his writing is frequently found in The New York Times and Salon. Southernmost appeared on several Best of the Year lists, including those of Booklist, Paste, Southern Living, The Advocate, and others. It was also long listed for the prestigious Carnegie Medal for Excellence in Fiction and has recently won the Weatherford Award and the Judy Gaines Young Award. House is currently a nominee for the Simpson Prize, a $50,000 award that goes to a writer for career-spanning work. He is also an executive producer and one of the subjects of the documentary Hillbilly, which won the Best Documentary prize at the LA Film Festival and was long listed for the Academy Award. Tasha CotterTasha Cotter is the author of the poetry collections Some Churches (Gold Wake Press, 2013), The Aqua Notebook (Anaphora, 2019), and three chapbooks. Her work has appeared in journals such as Contrary Magazine, NANO fiction, and Thrush. A graduate of the University of Kentucky and the Bluegrass Writers Studio, she is included in the 2018-2019 Kentucky Humanities Speakers Bureau. A recipient of grants from the Kentucky Foundation for Women, The Kentucky Center, and the University of Kentucky Women's Forum, she makes her home in Lexington, Kentucky where she works in higher education and serves as the president of the Kentucky State Poetry Society. Julie HensleyJulie Hensley was raised in the Shenandoah Valley. She traveled west, earning a MFA at Arizona State University. Now she makes her home in Kentucky with her husband (the writer R. Dean Johnson) and their two children. She is a core faculty member of the Bluegrass Writers Studio, the low-residency MFA program at Eastern Kentucky University. Hensley’s poems and stories have appeared in dozens of journals, most recently The Journal, The Southern Review, New Madrid, Saranac Review, and Blackbird. She is the author of two books of poetry, The Language of Horses and Viable, and one book of fiction, Landfall: A Ring of Stories (winner of the 2015 Ohio State University Non/fiction Prize). R. Dean Johnson R. Dean Johnson is the author of Californium: A Novel of Punk Rock, Growing Up, and Other Dangerous Things (Plume-Penguin) and Delicate Men: Stories (Alternative Book). His essays and stories have appeared in Ascent, Louisville Review, New Orleans Review, Salt Hill, The Southern Review, and elsewhere. Jenean McBrearty
Jenean McBrearty is a graduate of San Diego State University, who taught Political Science and Sociology. Her fiction, poetry, and photographs have been published in over two-hundred print and on-line journals. Her book, Writing Beyond the Self: How to Write Creative Non-fiction that Gets Published, was published by Vine Leaves Press in 2018. Todd D. MoberlyTodd Moberly is a retired history teacher who got back into writing when he no longer had grading to do every night. Dr. Marshall Dean MyersDr. Marshall Myers is a retired college professor from Battletown, Kentucky. He holds a Ph. D. from the University of Louisville with an emphasis on rhetorIc and linguistics. He is the author of five books about history, most recently The Rhetoric of Lincoln's Letters. He has also published a chapbook, Real Toads; a short story collection Barefoot; an on-line history book, The Civil War In and Around Meade County, Kentucky. In total, he has about 300 publications of books, academic essays, essays, nostalgia pieces, poetry, feature articles, book reviews, and short stories. Dr. Myers and his wife, Linda, have two grown daughters who are nurses, five grandsons, and three great grandchildren.

Tina Parker
Tina Parker is the author of the full-length poetry collection Mother May I and the poetry chapbook Another Offering. Her work has received support from the Kentucky Foundation for Women and has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize. She is the Immediate Past President of Kentucky State Poetry Society. Ana Maria Selvaggio
Under the name Renmeleon, illustrator, author, and designer Ana Maria Selvaggio has been a working creative for 33 years. Living a very eclectic, digitally-analog life, Selvaggio has a passion for writing and has worked in and around the publishing industry since the mid 90s as a book designer and editor. Her joys include reading, storyboarding, drawing, and creating worlds from the ground up for her novels. Book trailers and designing associated promotional products are all part of her love of the process. Renmeleon being a “Renaissance Chameleon,” is a true jack-of-all-trades as a surface pattern, paper goods designer, zine maker, and publisher. Selvaggio founded and ran a global art collaborative for 8 years as well as several creative writing groups out of her home in Florida, and has experience teaching in libraries, schools, and museums both online and off. Brandon Thompson
Brandon Thompson is a poet, a scholar, a musician and a lover of music, and a Buddhist practitioner and teacher. He is associate core faculty in Sofia University's Global Master's Program, and spends his days joyfully guiding students from all over the world. Brandon has been a student of Mahayana Buddhism since 1999, and has taught in this tradition since taking his bodhisattva vow in the summer of 2007. Brandon has published five books of ecstatic poetry, most recently Fire and the Moon: Poems for My Daughter, in August 2018. He regularly facilitates ecstatic poetry workshops across the United States. Brandon's current work involves bringing ecstatic poetry more fully into his life and into the world. Through his publications, scholarly writing, teaching, and workshops, Brandon is seeking to engage with ecstatic poetry as a visionary art: an art form with transformative potential and mystical underpinnings. Jereme ZimmermanJereme Zimmerman is a writer and traditional brewing revivalist who lives in Berea, Kentucky with his wife Jenna and daughters Sadie and Maisie. He has contributed to Mother Earth News and Hobby Farms magazines, as well as various other print and online publications, and is a columnist for Plant Healer magazine.
